Animate Africa is a continent-wide initiative by Magic Lab Academy, the training division of Magic Carpet Studios, aimed at training 10,000 animators in 3 years.
We believe Africa has the stories, the talent, and the ambition — it just needs access to structured, high-quality training and professional mentorship. That’s what Animate Africa provides.
Through a 10-week hands-on program, students learn the fundamentals of animation, get guided by industry experts, and graduate with a portfolio-ready project. More than just training, Animate Africa is building a pan-African community of creatives ready to shape the future of global animation.
